Saying you want to visit America is like saying you want to find a needle in a haystack.

This massive continent is a joyous wonder for all kinds of travellers and the way to enjoy it is to plan even if it's only where you are going. North, South, East and West, every state is practically a huge country in its own right, its three coastlines are very different and with lakes, deserts, mountains, rivers and huge parklands, and a fabulous range of cities, a choice of destination is not easy. Hiring a car gives the option of driving coast to coast, or down one particular coast or even just a state tour.

Seasonality is also a consideration of a visit to the USA. For example, New England is considered to be at its best in the Fall when the colours of the countryside are Mother Earth incarnate whilst the winter turns some of the mountain areas into some of the best ski resorts in the world.

The East Coast was settled first and naturally, the states on this side of the USA have a longer history.

Over in the West, visit the lands where cowboys reigned from their saddles and where an earthquake and fire put paid to major parts of what is today one of the world's finest cities. Theme park holidays will take you to the sunny climes of Florida and the ultimate in fantasy, Disneyland, whilst in California relive the dreams of those who try and find their way in the streets of Hollywood which are supposed to be paved with gold.
